Jasper is a smart, confident, and sure-footed 54-inch gelded riding donkey with a great head for the mountains. On his first ride off the property, he handled a three-mile trip with ease—crossing water, navigating rough terrain, and staying steady the entire way.

I recently took him on a tougher mountain route, riding into the night and through larger streams with rocky footing. He never hesitated, carefully picking the best path rather than just charging through. His balance of confidence and thoughtfulness makes him an excellent trail partner.
